Bunny Blue® Sedge

Bunny Blue® Sedge

Bunny Blue® Sedge is a selection of our native Carex laxiculmis, otherwise known as creeping sedge, that has extra blue foliage. A great deer resistant, shade-tolerant replacement for Hosta, Bunny Blue® is a slowly spreading, clumping perennial with glaucous evergreen foliage. Truly low maintenace, Bunny Blue® will remain attractive year round, but for best performance we recommend cutting your plants back in late winter for a flush of new growth in spring.

It looks particularly great along pathways, in shady woodland borders, as a component of matrix plantings, or in a rain garden. Great for environments with moist soil, but tolerant of dry shade. The more sun and heat means more water needed to maintain this Sedge.
